IVF success rates can provide important information about clinics
Understanding IVF success rates
When reviewing IVF clinic outcome data, you should understand the limits of it. It’s difficult to make accurate comparisons between clinics due to the differences in patient populations.
- Duration of infertility
- Amounts of pre-IVF treatments
- Number of IVF cycles attempted
- Differences in patients’ ovarian reserve
- How quickly clinics encourage patients to move to IVF
Also, clinics may differ in terms of decreased ovarian reserve and determining which patients can no longer try IVF.
The ArkLaTex Fertility and Reproductive Medicine difference
At our North Louisiana fertility center, we provide individualized care. We proudly help patients move quickly to IVF who desire doing so. Certainly, some patients desire to move quickly to IVF, and often due to tubal disease, severe endometriosis, severe male factor, or advancing age and/or declining ovarian reserve, moving quickly to IVF is very appropriate.
However, providing cost-effective care remains one of our fundamental philosophies remains. As such, we routinely offer controlled ovarian stimulation with intrauterine insemination (IUI) to many patients. Some patients desire and can benefit from surgical treatments and not have to do IVF. Still, moving quickly to IVF can be the patient’s choice.
Patients with decreased ovarian reserve and/or older age receive counseling about their options and expected success rates. When the estimated IVF outcomes meets patient expectations, we move forward with the treatment.
Collectively, our North Louisiana fertility center provides balanced and cost-effective care. We are proud to maintain comparatively very high quality pregnancy rates for our IVF patients.
